Privacy Policy

Effective August 24, 2026

This policy describes what Baber Law, LLC, operating this website as ChargedCT, collects when you use chargedct.com, how it is used, and when it is deleted. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to route your inquiry, we do not sell your information, and inquiry records are purged on a schedule.

What we collect

When you submit an inquiry, we collect: your name, phone number, email if you provide one, whether you are asking for yourself or someone else, whether the person arrested is in custody, the charge type, the town of arrest or court, the next court date if known, your preferred contact method and when to reach you, and a short optional note. The form instructs you not to describe what happened, and we ask you not to include those details anywhere.

When you browse the site, our infrastructure providers collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, and we use analytics that collect information about how visitors use the site in aggregate.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. Turnstile evaluates technical signals from your browser and does not show you puzzles in most cases.

How your inquiry is used

Your inquiry is sent to Baber Law, LLC, the Connecticut criminal defense firm that owns and operates this site, so an attorney can contact you about it.

We use your contact information to send you the confirmation and status messages described when you submit the form, by the contact method you chose. We do not use inquiry information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

Text messages

If you choose SMS as a contact method, we send transactional messages about your inquiry: a confirmation and status updates. Message frequency varies with the status of your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving messages and HELP for help. Your phone number and your consent to receive text messages are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the site: hosting and infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), text and voice (Twilio), payments for attorney accounts (Stripe), and analytics (Google). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Retention and deletion

Inquiry records are retained while an inquiry is active. Personal information in inquiry records is purged 180 days after an inquiry is closed. Aggregate records without personal information may be retained for business reporting.

Your choices

You can decline to provide an email address, choose your contact method, and stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. To ask about or request deletion of information you submitted, contact nate.baber@injuredct.com or write to Baber Law, LLC, 348 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, CT 06066.

Children

This site is for adults seeking information about Connecticut criminal charges. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.

What to do now

You will usually hear from an attorney within the hour during the day, or first thing in the morning if you send this overnight.
